In Episode 2 of The Heart of Healthcare Podcast, I interview Dr. John Brownstein, Chief Innovation Officer at Boston Children’s Hospital and a Professor at Harvard Medical School.
His resume, as impressive as it sounds, doesn’t even begin to shed light on what John actually does. He’s an innovator — having started several public health initiatives including HealthMap.org, which offers real-time intelligence on emerging infectious diseases. Street Rx, which crowdsources the black market for prices of prescription drugs. And most recently VaccineFinder.org, which is the only centralized database of vaccine availability in the US.
