Listen to this fascinating episode: 051 The Crooked Truth About D2C Dentistry Startups.
Climate
Climate has been on my mind lately. This summer — in addition to being one of the hottest ones on record — we experienced intensified natural disasters from wildfires to droughts to floods across the globe.
It goes without saying that our climate crisis is also a public health crisis. There are so many threads to pull here, and I hope to be able to share more perspectives on this space over the coming months.
- Scientist and environmental advocate Arlene Blum shares how PFAS substances are making us sick. 050 Sounding the Alarm on Forever Chemicals.
- Climate change is a public health crisis, and we need more collaboration between healthcare people and climate people. In this episode with My Climate Journey, we do just that: 052 The Intersection of Climate Change and Human Health.
- Epidemiologist Jessica Malaty Rivera discusses Monkeypox, Polio, COVID, and why pandemics are becoming more common. Ep 049 Is this the Pandemic Era?
New Episodes
- Ai Jen Poo believes we should make care policies (like family leave and child care) part of our public infrastructure — as investments in the future of the economy. Ep 048 The Work That Makes All Other Work Possible.
- Brad Kittredge envisions a world where everyone suffering with mental health can get personalized care, and he knows technology can get us there. Learn how his company, Brightside, is working with the system (not against it) for real change. Ep 053 Life-Changing Virtual Mental Health Care.
Listeners, I need a favor from you. My goal is to get to 100 5-star reviews by end of the year. If you could take 30 seconds to leave me a review on Apple Podcasts, it would truly make my day!
